About Artistic Touches
Veronica Wheeler is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).
She received her National Certification of Interior Designers Qualification (NCIDQ) in 1993.
Veronica has loved art from an early age and has continuously pursued her career in this area.
She enjoys Calligraphy and has been refining her Custom Matting & Framing and Original Artwork for the past 4 years, as she continues working with interior designers.
Veronica Wheeler is a 1985 graduate of Woodbridge Senior High School in Woodbridge, Virginia.
She was a member of the National Art Honors Society and was involved in the University of Virginia Scholarship.
She attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 1985 and graduated with an Associates Degree specializing in Interior Design in 1987.
During her college years she won several awards including having her drafting project selected for the national admissions tour.
After college, Veronica began her design career at Model Home Interiors, Beltsville, MD, in 1988 as a Junior Designer.
She became a full Designer in 1993 and was promoted to a Senior Designer position by 1996.
While at Model Home Interiors she designed many award winning model homes throughout the East Coast.
She has worked with top builders including Ryan Homes in Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse, New York, Traton Homes in Atlanta, Georgia, Colony Homes & Don Galloway Homes in North Carolina and locally with Edgemoore Homes, Winchester Homes and Pulte Homes.
Veronica's work has been featured in several magazines including Builder's Magazine for her 1990 work at Beau Ridge with Stok Homes, and Home & Design Magazine in 1993.
Her work has also been featured in Sales & Marketing Ideas in 1994 and more recently in 1998 for her work with Winchester Homes.
Her work is photographed and used in Edgemoore Home Community Brochures.
She has been nominated and won several awards for her work including the following:
"1994 Nominated and won First Place for Interior Merchandising in the traditional home category of $1 million for her work in the Cincinnati Homearama Cincinnati, Ohio
"Awarded in 1998 Finest Family Living Award for single family homes $400,000 to $475,000 for Edgemoore Manor, Kensington in Oakton, Virginia with Edgemoore Homes.
"Nominated and won in 1999 MAME (Marketing and Merchandising Excellence) for Best Interior Merchandising for Detached Homes in the category of $750,000 to $1 million. For her work at Carrington - Briar Cliff with Edgemoore Homes.
Today, Veronica enjoys being creative in her design and art projects. She
currently shares her love and passion for art as she teaches art and computers to K-8th grade students at Cornerstone Christian Academy.
Veronica has several direct sales companies such as Young Living Essential Oils,and Stuff A Friend & Cello In A Box as well as her very own Kaleidocakes Greeting Cakes. She continues to successfully give her clients those Artistic Touches that every job and person deserves. Will you be next!?
